Including dot.files in bash expansions
5 March 2004 @ 17:37 GMT

There are two ways of including dot.files in bash expansions.

One is to set bash's dotglob variable by using the command:

shopt dotglob

The other is to include the dot explicitly. So to copy all dot.files in a directory:

 cp /source/.* /destination/
